Installing an HP printer can be a bit tricky for many of us and need external help. You may find yourself looking at strange error codes in the machine and not have a clue at what to do. Well, if you have encountered a few errors with your HP printers, you’ve come to the right place.

How do I Fix Printer Driver Error?

Don’t worry, there are a few things that you can try to resolve the issue in your machine.

Update the driver – First, you have to check if you are using an outdated driver on your system. If there is a driver issue, then you must update the printer driver as soon as possible.

First, you have to open the Device Management and then expand the printer option. Now select the Printer and right-click to update the driver.

Print Spooler Service – If the print spooler service in your Windows 10 device is stuck or crashing, you may not be able to add a printer. You have to make sure that the spooler service is running fine, and there is no issue there.

  • Open the Run and type services.msc and hit Enter

  • Now, look for Print Spooler service from the list and right-click on it.

  • Now, you have to click on the Start button from the status and select the Startup type as Automatic.

Then, you need to reboot the computer to make it working again.

Troubleshoot the Printer using the Manual process – if you are unable to install the printer driver on your system, then you have to follow the manual process of troubleshooting.

  • First, you open the official support page of the Printer and then download the latest driver for that model. Now, install that driver on your computer by following some simple instructions.

  • Then, you have to open the troubleshoot option in Windows 10 and select the Printer option to troubleshoot the printer issues. The built-in troubleshooter resolves most issues in the Printer.

  • Now, you need to restart the system as soon as possible to make sure everything works just fine.
